Classical Osteopathy is rooted in the principle that anatomy (structure) and physiology (function) are inextricably linked, and that health is dependent upon proper alignment and function of the body and its systems.
Osteopathic manual practitioners are thoroughly trained in anatomy, physiology, osteopathic assessment, theory and practice, and functional mechanics.
I provide a non-invasive, full-body assessment and treatment that seeks to identify and remove mechanical dysfunction through manual therapy, allowing the body to restore its self-healing and self-regulating abilities

Alex graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in 2019 and has been working in the health and rehabilitation field for over 10 years. She is excited to be a part of the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA) and OSTCAN.
Prior to the CAO, she graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She worked alongside a physiotherapist, specializing in rehabilitation, working with patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries and coping with neuromuscular disorders. Upon seeing an Osteopathic practitioner for herself, Alex was fascinated by the balanced and gentle approach used in treatment and the long lasting results. She attended the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) located in Hamilton, in a 4 year, 4200 hour program with a required 1000 hours of clinical training. She received her Masters of Practice in Manual Osteopathic Sciences (M.OMSc).
Alex continues to expand her knowledge in functional anatomy, physiology and biomechanics in order to bring her patients a tailored and effective treatment. She has a passion for educating and empowering her patients to function optimally and feel their best. When Alex is not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors and playing with her puppy, Bono.
